Websites are most effective when they contain content that was conceived and written by a marketing specialist. Many “Web Designers” who create websites, are either Graphic Designers or Web Developers. Neither of these groups of professionals necessarily have marketing expertise. While they might have some knowledge, they are probably not highly skilled marketers. Therefore, their service and price quotes do not include content development or copywriting. What this means is that you create and supply the content for your site. It is important for you to understand this distinction so that you can make an informed decision about the website development services you require. While many business owners are good writers, the content they supply for their website usually lacks the ability to effectively engage and “sell” to the potential customer or client. The resulting site is a costly static “brochure” that may be graphically attractive but ineffective at bringing in more business. As a web marketing expert, I am a skilled content developer and copywriter, who understands how to plan your site for marketing results. I specialize in customer-focused websites and usability. If you contract for marketing services, I will develop the marketing concept for your site, write compelling headlines and content. Additionally, I use web architecture, layout, navigation and SEO techniques to make your site into a sales pipeline that can put you ahead of your competitors. Once the project begins, you would send me all your written material. During the website and marketing planning process I will learn much more about your company, its products or services, your customers and your competitors. Once I have a full understanding of your company and your marketing goals, I will then craft, configure and augment your written content into text that attracts, engages and persuades your potential customers to take the desired action toward becoming your customer.

In light of the above, Marketing Services are included in your price quote. Each service element is itemized so that you will have the option to opt-out of the marketing services if you choose to handle the marketing content yourself. (Please Note: Social Media Marketing is an additional element that can be contracted separately, but Social Media icons and links can be incorporated into your website design as part of the project scope.)

Sites I build usually range from 4-12 weeks. A very simple website could be created more quickly and a larger, complex site could take much longer. Once I know the scope of your project I can estimate more exact time line.
